Words of wisdom
قال أبو الفضل بن العباس الرياشي:
وما من كاتب إلا سيفنى ... ويبقي الدهر ما كتبت يداه
فلا تكتب بكفك غير شيء ... يسرك في القيامة أن تراه
Abo Al Fadel Al Rayashi said:
There is no writer but will pass away ... and time will save what he wrote everyday.
So, don't write by your own hand except … what make you happy to see it in Judgment Day.

Nisa: salam sweetheart, thank u.
don't think about that, and never think ppl can be quantify by their beauty only,,,maybe we will love beautiful person, but if he/she has ugly features and bad nature, we simply will hate him/her despite their gorgeous exterior beauty. that happened to me and i know what i'm talking about it.
anyway, u r so dear, and i love u.
take care and stay Happy!
Question:
Is writing really all that important anyway?
If nobody ever invented the pencil nobody would write anyway.
The way I see it, we should all forget about writing and just start dancing.
I don't care what anyone says, by God there will be dancing!
Very good question dear Tristan. Well, why we write in the first place?!! Maybe: To let others know our opinions, thoughts and views! To spread what we think it's right! To share others what we have and what we think it's really important! So many reasons!! But I think through what we write we can give others specific impression about us!
If I wrote my thoughts or what I want to say to others in proper way, that can give others good impression about me even if we disagreed in topics. While, if I write it in bad language or improper way, that will give them bad impression. Not only need decorum, but also credibility. As we say in Arabic: if you have good thing to add, say it otherwise keep silent!
It's a big case,, but when you feel that it's a responsibility in front of God, in front of yourself to write good thing and never spread bad things, that only make you feel good,, you are good, you are useful, you are considerate. That how I see it,, but there are who don't care about that and have no clear or good idea about what they want to tell others! But there who are worse and know what they are doing and do the bad things purposely! I only feel sad for them! Really Pathetic!!
thanks Noor , may Allah bless you , I need to remember this words always.
u r welcome dear Adam. we r all need to remind ourselves with that.
I like the way you pick these kind of posts, and in the same context I recall two verses from the poetry of Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (karram allah wajhuh)
لا دار للمرء بعد الموت يسكنها
إلا التي كان قبل الموت يبنيها
فإن بناها بخير طاب مسكنها
وإن بناها بشر خاب بانيها
and I leave you to translate it for your audience :D .. simply I cannot translate Arabic poetry! it looses its sweetness when translated!...
dear Sami, nice choice. i usually read and if i liked what i find, i save it to type it for you and try to give readers a simple translation, as i said once it's hard to give you the exactly meanings for arabic language, it's so unique and lovely, arabic language and expressions like sea,, full with colors and types, even we who are arabic speakers can't understand some poems that use special words or expressions, and we can't easily translate it to other languages.
anyway, here you are my fast translation:
there is no house for a human to live in after death.
except what he prepared for it before death.
so, if he did well and made great deeds,
that will be a pleasant living.
otherwise, he will be abortive who didn't work for it.
