((The Three Adventurers))

A man wanted to fly away in the air. He wanted to test by himself what happens on the high heights. He wanted to fly on the clouds. He didn't make wings like Abas Bin Fernas, but he decided to do that by using a big balloon. He had to search for a companion, but who will agree to go with him and take this risk or adventure. Could be one trip only and no chance to go back!

This happened more than 100 years ago. Specifically, in 1875. He met up with two friends and convinced them to go with him.

The three men took that balloon and it took them higher in the air. It could be a joyful journey in the beginning and probably there were a big crowd and fans for them on the ground. Waving for them and wish them luck.
It changed and happy time is gone when they went higher and higher. The adventurers started to suffer and face difficulties. It be more difficulties when the balloon go higher. When it reached 29,000 foot, the companions couldn't resist and lost their power and became worst till they died. One left and he lost his consciousness before his colleagues, but didn't die. If he died, that won't be helpful to give us the details of what really happened with them. Maybe God wanted him to stay alive to tell his story and what he and his late companions faced in their journey.

Human feels tightness on his chest and can't breathe properly when he goes up in the air. And that become more difficult when he goes more higher in the air. Only by using the new equipments and new technology of this age, he can go up without facing these difficulties.

Climbing higher in the air accompany with: lack of pressure, lack of oxygen, cold air and unstable temperature. The lack of pressure makes gas in stomach and guts extend which causes hard shrinkage and flatulence, which push diaphragm up and that make big pressure on heart and lungs,,, so, that causes unconsciousness in some cases.

These facts discovered by scientists after they went up in the high heights and made tests. While this had been mention in Holy Koran in Al An'aam 6:125 more than 1400 years ago.

Who told Prophet Mohammed about these facts?

God told him and Koran is God's word undoubtedly.

((And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto the Surrender, and whomsoever it is His will to send astray, He maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.)) 6:125

Salam Noor,

There are many of such miracles in Quraan.

I remeber Sourat "Al-Roum"
"غلبت الروم فى أدنى الأرض ، و هم من بعد غلبهم سيغلبون"
the that was a valley in Jordan, proven to be the lowest ground on earth.

Does God ever fart? I'm just wondering. It was a random thought.

Salam Noor,
Yes, I read of a number of things which were actually only discovered in the last centuries but already mentioned in the Qur'an! It is undoubtadly strange and not to be explained diffeently but coming straight from God - who would have known about it otherwise in those days? Alone this idea is SO powerful ...

Growing up my Uncle always told me that 'thunder and lightning' came straight from the butt-crack of heaven.

Yes, he was a very elloquent type of fellow... well, not really, but I grew up thinking that thunder claps were actually big booming 'God farts'.

Late science proved my Uncle wrong. But the moral of the story is... there is only so much we know before we discover something else is true.

As far as how this information was readily available in the Qur'an is not explainable other than shifting the reliance onto god. In a faith based religion which requires a person not to second guess the improbable on the cirumstance that it may offend or contradict the creator... then science is subjective to what we know... not what we don't know.

What I'm saying is... there is no way to know if God put that information in or if that information was already known to humans. One thousand years before Mohammad the Chinese were creating explosives which would spread 'flower' like color... today they are commondly known as fireworks. But because certain nations were more advanced 'technically and scientifically' and because this information isn't found in the Qur'an doesn't mean that God didn't know about it.

In fact, it all really means... nothing if you think about it. Time is not linear for God anyway, so why assume he made a linear statement for comparison a few thousand years later? There's no purpose in it, and for me, God has greater purpose than to slip re-affirming comments which only point out his existance when that wouldn't really prove anything insofar as it seperates unbelievers from believers. Its a type of selective confirmation of faith...

to think this way puts you in a very tight 'yes or no' type of sittuation with others... "It says so here and here in the Qur'an and so you are wrong...etc." But really, shouldn't that question only be the for the individual self? Because God is only going to judge me... not you.

Which means... as Abed has pointed out before, God is not here to cast judgement on others on our behalf... God will only cast Judgement on ME. Me as a person... and so everyone will have to face God on God's terms. Not on what we think God's terms may be.

For this reason we as a collective group cannot say who is or who is not right or wrong. We can only let God decide... and he will only do that in the final Judgement. The rest is nothing more than coincidence, or knowledge not yet discovered, but that will always be the case. The Bible has its fair share of this too. Maybe it was all in God's master plan? Maybe both books were inspired and dictated by the same God? Maybe.

Do you not think that it was possible for human beings to figure this out when climbing a mountain? I wonder how Moses' chest felt up high on that mountain. Now, had the Koran given all the details that the scientists had discovered rather than just saying 'He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky.' that would be saying something extra ordinary.

Welcome dear Hamze.Yes, that amazed me and I love to read about these miracles. Little things we can't understand and confuse us are real miracles. Only wise people link it and think seriously about it..

OMG. Tristan. you made me laugh. What a question?!! Okay,,, Does God Ever Eat, Sleep, Die?!!!! No,, all these are features of us. His creatures. So how can you think he should be like us. You say like puppet who a person control it and the puppet thinks who is control and move that person too!
When we think about God that he needs to FART or EAT or whatever. That give him a same nature of his creatures, so he must has body with same organs of ours. That will blow up all his mightiness and uniqueness, that will prove he is not GOD. God can watch you and me at the same time, God know what you are saying and what you are hiding inside you, God control all this endless universe needs no assistant or help, so he can't be like us or has worldly features.
Don't you agree with that?

Salam Karin Dear. Yes, there are many others and more powerful than this one. I had read other things like this one and maybe I should write about it.

Tristan. U just made me laugh all day. I can't believe you just think like that. This is a joke. Yet, you are right, we have limited knowledge and could think about things and thought we did that right, but then, we can discover a new thing change what we can call facts.
Yes, God doesn't need any prove and Koran needs no prove as we believe it with or without miracles. Like Spider's house which confused me and I thought about the net only.

Sara Dear. Welcome and thank you so much for this excellent and clever question. I just forgot to tell more about the nature of Arabian Peninsula where Prophet Mohammed lived. He didn't leave this peninsula and never watched a sea or rode on ship. He was here and he was illiterate. The mountains where he lived weren't that high and the weather is always hot. So, as some claim that he wrote the holy Koran, how can he give some things and signs about things in this world that he never saw or learned. That what make Holy Koran a miracle for him.
