Ayat Al Kursi
((Allah! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous. * There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm hand hold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower.))

I thought this was an interesting bit of information. I found a list of quotes, by ex-Popes of the Catholic religion which all reflect the belief that God is ONE.
http://www.catholic.com/library/One_True_God.asp
4"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5You shal love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
(Deut 6:4-5)
Just to point out that Islam wouldn't be invented for another 600 years. At the time people of Israel... i.e. the Jews would be the ONLY people who believed in one God.
Later Mohammad would 'borrow' this idea from the Jews and use it to create Islam. Which is why Islam, more or less, is the same religion. It's just an 'updated' version of the 'old way.' Whether or not any religion is an adequate is up to the believer I'd assume.
I just thought it was interesting that everyone agrees on the same thing but always wants to argue about it. Hahaha.
Merry Happy Special Congratulatory Peaceful Ramadan! I didn't know what to say exactly so I said em' all. Hehehehe.
"Everyone agrees on the same thing but always wants to argue about it. Hahaha. "
:-) Good one!
And the soundclip: beautiful, what a powerful and spirited voice. Wish I could understand Arabic, but still the intensity comes thru.
Ramadan Karim to all
Oh, Karin. Happy u liked it. I prepared other audios, which I will publish them next time.
Chet: I'm so happy u loved it and felt it even spiritually. Wait for other audios.
Ahmad: so great then, we are share same thing.
Mona: oh dear. Thank u so much and jazaki Allah kol khair for all these links. Well done!
Tristan Vick: what r u saying?!! I don't get it. But nice to hear about ex-Popes.
Well, great till u said ((Later Mohammad would 'borrow' this idea from the Jews and use it to create Islam.)),
this is nonsense!! Prophet Mohammed didn't borrow anything. He was simple man and illiterate, but modest and honest. He didn't learn anything and even Waraqa Bin Nofel, who was cousin of his wife Khadija didn't meet each other till that day of descent of Gabriel. Waraqa told him that he is the last prophet and he wished if he can live longer to help him when his people expel him out! Waraqa died after a while and prophet Mohammed didn't learn anything from him. Yes, Waraqa embraced Christianity,,, and kept studying and learning the books of Christians and so he knew the signs of the last prophet. Jews themselves knew the sings of last prophet and they wished the last prophet will be from them. So, Mohammed was the last prophet and they knew it, but most of them refused and became haughty to admit. One Jewish leader came and talked to prophet Mohammed and embraced Islam, but he said to prophet: I know my people,, they will reject me after I embraced Islam. So, to show you their style, call them and ask them about me as they still don't know I'm Muslim. So, prophet did and called them and asked them about that man "I forgot his name", they praised him and said: he is our leader, he is wise man and judicious. Then, the man showed up and said: oh dear people, I'm now a Muslim,,, so they shocked and screamed: he is a crazy man, he is not our leader!
Anyway, I agree with u,,, it is interesting that everyone agrees on the same thing but always wants to argue about it.
Merry Happy Special Congratulatory Peaceful Ramadan!!!! SO FUNNY
I liked it :D
Halalhippie: u agreed with it too :) and happy you loved the audio.
So you assume that in all of the Prophet's travels as the manager of Khadija's business he never met and spoke with a Christian or a Jew? You believe that in all those years of marriage when he was well known and respected by all that it is possible that he would have never met her cousin who did not live far from him? That seems highly unlikely to me.
it's not that I ASSUME, Dear Lady,, but it's the real history!! Besides, JEWS and CHRISTIANS knew that he was the LAST PROPHET, as they knew the signs of the last prophet. that happened when he was still baby even when he was born, a Jewish came and asked and shocked to find that the last prophet is NOT JEWISH,, he said to people of QURAISH: you are lucky to have the last prophet from your tribe. However, he didn't know that they will be against him and fight him and expel him.
Later, he traveled with his uncle when he was maybe 10 years old, a monk noticed him and told his uncle later that he must protect this child because he will be under threat of other people as he is the last prophet. The remarkable thing that Abo Taleb, the prophet's uncle said: I'm his father, but the monk said with confidence: no way, he must be an orphan and his father must be dead. So, they knew very well, the prophet's signs. More confirming about this his prophecy came with the story of Salman Al Faresi, who made long and hard journey to know the truth and in his final station, he knew the signs of last prophet and where he will be. So, he tested prophet Mohammed and knew that he is really the last prophet and he was happy. Hope you know the story of Salman Al Faresi.
As for khadija Cousin, as we know that he isolated himself and only gave all his time and life to read and study. So, there is no clear evidence that he even attend the wedding of Khadija and Prophet Mohammed. Not to forget, that Khadija chose Mohammed for what she knew about his honesty and she knew that he will be something big and weighty because of the signs her servant noticed during their journey for her trade.
There are many signs if people really want to know more about truth and not only see tiny parts of pictures or listen to some unstable people.
God Bless!
