NEWS - NEWS

:Some interesting news:

1- Bono as editor-in-chief of the UK newspaper The Independent

Rock star Bono was in the editor's chair at the Independent on Tuesday and he used the occasion to promote his "Red" campaign fighting Aids in Africa.

The front page boldly declares "No news today" but below says "Just 6,500 Africans died today as a result of a preventable, treatable disease".

"Great Idea indeed. I like Bono and his good deeds in Africa. Yusuf Islam do a lots of things to help fighting Aids in Africa as well. This is humanitarian thing we share regardless the race, the root, the religion, the colour…etc"

2- Italy: Holocaust cartoon stirs row
The journal of the Rifondazione Comunista party, set to be part of the coalition that will form the Italian government, published a
Caricature showing the separation fence with a gate bearing the sign "Hunger Liberates," similar to the welcome sign at the entrance to the Auschwitz extermination camp, which read "Work Liberates."

"Sure, the bigoted Jews considered that -as usual- (anti-Semitic) act, not a Freedom of Speech. I think the journal said the truth no more, at least they made clear idea about what they what to say by that caricature, not mocking!"

3- Somali-born Dutch lawmaker to quit parliament amid furore over lies on her asylum application
"I knew this woman when I was concern about Theo van Gogh and the causes behind his murder. I searched about that and I wanted to write about it, but I was busy until this woman appears again with her lies. Well, I don't care that much. But I'm sure that she is not Muslim (and she is responsible of Theo's death) and I will write about that"

4-Spanish King, Queen Open Ibn Khaldun Exhibition

"I was so happy to read this, nice to find appreciation to Muslim thinkers and scholars that presented their knowledge and achievements to the world and have their own researches and conclusions. There are many others of Muslim thinker and scholars that gave the world many bases for lots of science and art's fields"

I'd just like to reference a brilliant graphic novel (comic), MAUS by the legendary artist Art Spiegelman.

It's about his father's struggle to survive during the Holocaust. It's a very important story for anyone who lived through the horror, and I think it's particualry important because the drawings and images potray the truth through fantasy better than it can realism. You can find the link for more info here:

Just to mention: the story is all true. What I meant by "fantasy" was the "fantastical images" as there are no humans in the comic. Just mice, rats, cats, and other animals. Think along the lines of "Animal Farm" and you'll get the idea.

Even though the number of deniers of the holocaust is increasing and I read days ago in a local newspaper about group saying and claiming that many of Jews at the WW2 died because of the illness not by the holocaust!!!
The have a point of view. Could be right and could be wrong.
But I feel sorry for anyone lost his loved ones in any part of this world by savagery way.
I wished that the survivors and the people who went through such terrible things like that would never agree to let that happen again by the same methods and by their own hands!
