Caution: suspicious sites about Islam
I received by e-mail a list of some suspicious sites about Islam and it said that who run these sites deface real Islam, real Koran, and trying to spread distorted facts and information.
Then, I found that again in trusted site and for that, I want you to be careful when you deal with these sites.
The better thing is to leave and avoid such sites like that.
(Leave what make you doubt to thing doesn't make you doubt)
The suspicious sites are:
www.answering-islam.org
www.aboutislam.com
www.thequran.com
www.Allahassurance.com
* I will be grateful if you share with us any clarification or information about this issue.

Dear Noor,
By linking those sites you are increasing thier popularity .. the best way is to leave those sites alone, sooner or later those who are seeking the truth about Islam would notice that they are only done by Islam haters!

Answering-Islam.ogr is a news website with theological based articles.
Aboutislam.com is a web forum. It's just common sense that when you go into any online chat room that you will have people that won't behave and get into fights. Also, you'd have to be foolish to believe anything at face value which is said in a forum.
TheQuran.com is a broken link with the message: under construction.
Allahassurance.com is a commercial advertising news feed which links "related topics" and is not a reliable website -at least one you would want to use for anything other thant spending your money.
This is just the common sense of checking out the web and not believing everything you see on television or the world wide web.
Thikra: thank u, but the problem that who knows nothing about Islam and find such sites like that claiming that giving the right picture and information, will be deceived. I found a blog using one of these sites as a reference!! Can u imagine that!!!
It's wrong to ignore that, I ignored that for a while, then I think again about who knows nothing about the truth and falls into these traps. We should warn people if they really seeking the truth, they would try to find the trusted sites.
Well, brother: I visited some of them and I didn't feel they are really worthy especially the first one, I found some errors there and I was sure it's not real trusted. So, whatever, if people want to find the truth they must seek the real source and not believe anything that they find in the first time.
That's why I checked them all out for myself. If I believed what other people told me, then I'd be gullable. That's a problem too many people have.
And I'm not ready for book burning just yet... if a website is flaged, it's best to assume caution. But normally you can tell if it is serious or not by checking it out for yourself. If you can't (for personal reasons) then you can always have someone else look it over for you.
That's why I checked them all out. I wanted to see what they were -and they were all under par. The first one was the only interesting one, but that's because it had a professional layout and professional writers focussing on current events. The rest are websites I would never look at because there is nothing on them except talking heads. And like I said, I'm not that gullable.
Noor,
What were the errors that you found on that first site? Did you report them?
I visited and noticed this on their page : If you find any factual mistakes [whether misprints or a false representation of doctrines] on these pages, or things that are worded in an offensive way, contact us, we would like to correct that.
Dear Um Haleema, I found misleading article and I did read this notice, but I don't like to contact people I don't know! It's better that people who have more knowledge than me should do this contact. Besides, I told u that I found this first time in an e-mail, but I ignored that. Then, I found it in trusted site, so I decided to share with u this info. Anyway, I don't say: don't go and see and read, but try to be more careful with any site offering information could be false unintentionally or purposely.
